A talk by Peter Barden
There is an inextricable connection to Noisily and the outcome of the English Civil War. Following the war, the bloodiest per capita dead in the global history of conflict, Britain experienced a modern enlightenment period – the 1st of its kind. There may be a case to be made that the reason we are world leaders in the festival industry is because we do organised rebellion so well.
This talk will set out the story of what happened and why it’s still so relevant to our human experience in 2019. Understanding our connection to history and where we came from, why we’re here, is essential to knowing who we are and what our potential is.
