Biodynamic Breathwork is a powerful breathing technique that has the possibility of bringing about profound healing by opening up the mind and body. It can help to relieve physical and emotional tension, as well as reduce anxiety, boost your immune system, support better quality sleep and deeper lung capacity.
It can help to release past trauma and blocked emotions held in the body and allow us to access higher states of consciousness, switching off the default mode of thinking and repetitive patterns that go on in the brain.
Biodynamic Breathwork is an open mouth, continuous breathing practice, with an active inhalation and a passive exhalation.
During the session we’ll be exploring what’s going on under the surface; building up charge via the breath, observing underlying stresses & emotions in the subconscious body-mind and working through them with the support of sound & vibration, bodywork & bioenergetic release methods – leading to a fullness of heart, soundness of mind & lightness of being.

- It is recommended not to eat about 2 hours before the session
- Bring a bottle of water
- Bring a journal or notepad and pen – you may want to make notes of any insights
- Bring a blanket or shawl as your body temperature can shift

This type of breathwork is not suitable for people with the following conditions: cardiovascular problems, high or abnormal blood pressure, history of aneurisms, epilepsy, severe psychiatric symptoms, osteoporosis, glaucoma. It is also not suitable for pregnant women. If you have any other health considerations, please check with your healthcare provider before joining a breathwork session.
About your facilitator
Luke has been exploring & experimenting with body-mind therapies and practices for most of his adult life. He is trained hatha yoga teacher, Biodynamic Breath & Trauma Release (BBTRS®) practitioner, Oxygen Advantage instructor, myofascial release bodyworker and sound therapist. For the last 8 years, Luke has synergised his practices to bring what he feels to be a highly powerful approach to emotional release and energetic balance. He works in person & online with private clients, groups, businesses & charities.
