Jivamukti Yoga

Jivamukti Yoga with Annalisa Tiranti

Sunday 9:00 – 10:00 | BODY

Jiva means Individual soul and mukti liberation. From sanskrit Jivanmuktih, which means liberation while living. Yoga provides practices for the body and the mind can liberate the individual soul.

We will meditate, chant and practice asana. ‘Asana’ means seat/relationship with the Earth. Citing Patanjali’s Yoga (asana) should be mutually beneficial and come from a consistent (sthira) place of joy and happiness (sukham).

The sequence will be dynamic and playful with some posture to be held, all levels are welcome. We will support each other and breathe together to experience Selflessness is the key to live a liberated life. Therein the practice of asana becomes more than mere physical exercise to keep one’s body fit or to increase strength or flexibility; it becomes a way to improve one’s relationship to all others and thus lead to enlightenment – the dissolution of the sense of separateness, the realisation of the oneness of being, the discovery of lasting happiness.

Annalisa will guide your practice with verbal cues and physical adjustments. She has been teaching in London since 2016 and embarked on her spiritual journey in 2012. She holds retreats around Italy and the Greek islands. She passionately carried on this spiritual path first as student then as teacher. You can read more about her journey through the link below.
