Self-Love – a somatic movement workshop with Ian Young

In this workshop we will do lots of delicious somatic movements to create more ease in our somas (bodies). Somatics is often described as like giving yourself a massage every day as the movements squeeze into the tension in your body caused by everyday life and stress and then help to release that tension so that we can feel and move better. You will work through different areas of the body so we reach all the parts which we so often can’t release tension from. You will learn lots of practices to take away and learn a lot of awareness of habitual patterns which might not be serving you well so that you can begin the journey to change those habits so you don’t create so much tension in your body to begin with. Movements are gentle and accessible to all and mainly done on a mat but can be surprisingly powerful.
